I started this blog in June, 2017 as a creative outlet for me to express my love for all things food, eating and cooking. This blog is catered specifically to the mighty home cooks of the world. Those who are tired of eating out everyday, those who want to learn how to cook or those that already have a family to feed and want to try out new things. I hear you! There’s a wide range of things you can find here from healthy food to indulgent food.

So you want to find out a little bit more about me, huh? Who is this woman and should I trust her recipes? Can she cook?

I have good experience losing weight, maintaining weight loss, cooking healthy dishes and healthily reshaping world famous cuisines.

I’m no chef, unless being a home chef counts. I have no formal cooking education but  just lots and lots of trial and errors while I make mistakes and learn as I go along in the kitchen.

I try to admit to these mistakes on the blog and to be as honest as I can, even if it’s unhealthy for my ego but hey, no one’s perfect. And hopefully other home cooks will learn from them. So you’ll see a lot of technique discussed in my posts for each recipe and stuff to watch out for.

Things most people are familiar with. with the exception of some imported ingredients that i use in some meals, you’ll find a lot of easy and approachable recipes here.

I try to feature everyday Egyptian real food cooked by great father at home with everyday ingredients you can find at Egyptian grocery stores. Realistic stuff. Stuff you can pronounce and recognize. Nothing too fancy, a balance between from scratch cooking and easy stuff.  And for weight loss, you have to watch your portions!

IMG_20170731_221916_939My food is a balance between healthy food, normal food and food that tastes-so-good-but-is-bad for you. So from Egyptian cuisine to Healthy exotic recipes, you still can pick whatever you like and whatever fits your lifestyle.

So, How do I healthily live ? 

 I am against the severe dieting and i am totally with the healthy life style. furthermore, I love to be in my kitchen and to get rid of every single non nutritive thing in my meals.I eat everything and i am against the food deprivation and last by not least, i totally believe that you should eat to lose weight and that there is no  diet out there that is perfectly suited for everyone. there is some serious mental and emotional work that needs to be done every step of the way. For starters, you really need to know your own body, to understand how your body responds to different kinds of food.

What else about me ?

I am a half-marathoner, social runner; I run to enjoy routes, making new friends and try to make a small change in their lives.

Happily, i lead a running clan under the HealthKeepers facebook platform; a-so-cool place that helps you lose weight online. So, practicing sports for free in the public Egyptian street is my thing !
